| Description | Living Village Collection Q27 This was the first B-47 Stratojet (53-1881) to land at Chelveston (1st May 1956). Basically designed to deliver “instant sunshine”. According to the parish history – 1st December 1952 - Station transferred to United States Air Force (USAF), and a completely new, longer runway (11,000 ft) was added for the 3914th Air Base Group.
